Today hubbs and I are taking Reese, our 9 yr old lab, to the vet.
Reese is what would be considered obese, poor guy has been for a couple of years now and it's just not getting any better. Within the past week I have noticed a big difference in him. His right ear is looking a bit droopy, his lower right eye lid in drooping at times and the right side of his nose has been bleeding on a regular basis.
On a side note - If CSI would visit our house right now with their black lights they would be in for a BIG surprise! I'm sure it would look like the site of a massacre. The poor dog keeps sneezing blood everywhere. I clean it up, but I'm sure there are still traces of it.
So, today he goes to the vet to find out what is going on. I'm hoping it is something simple to fix. I know he's getting old, but I'm hoping to have him around for a few more years. He was our first baby. I bought him for hubbs as a birthday present right after we got engaged.
I know realistically, things aren't looking good for Reesey Boy, as Tink calls him.
For Tink's sake, please make our Reese well. Tink thinks of him as her brother and loves him dearly. We've already lost one dog, two cats, three fish, a frog, an uncle and a cousin this year. I don't know how much more death she can deal with and not need a therapist. Tink still gets upset over losing our Noah Baby, please don't take her Reesey Boy.
Tink, Reese and Bo's loving mom.
